Database Crash
« on: October 21, 2008, 02:52:44 PM »
Some may have noticed the forum blinking in and out today.  During a repair of the gallery the database was damaged.  Our forum has two parts that make it run:  the software (how it looks and runs) and the database (contains all posts, messages, member settings, etc.).  Usually when there's a problem with the forum it is in the software and once fixed leaves no traces.  Unfortunately, this time the damage was in the database.  I had to restore a backup of the forum database, which means all posts and other changes made after the database was backed up (yesterday) are lost forever.

The good news is it WAS backed up.  The bad news is we lost around a dozen posts.

It was running unstable for a little while, but I think I've got all the errors cleaned up now.  Keep your fingers crossed.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
