Two Plus Four Equals One--A book about service dogs
« on: November 16, 2010, 09:56:27 PM »
So I hope this isn't advertising cause I don't mean it to be.  If it is, it can be removed and I won't mind.

I've mentioned this on my Facebook page a few times, but I've been published in a book made up of true stories of people with service dogs.  I think its going to be a really great book and a lot went into making it, a process I've had the privileged of watching and participating in.

The website for the book is http://www.servicedogstories.com/index.html

All I can say is WOW! What a great book! I am ordering one - maybe two!

But gosh darn! I was reading along very nicely the chapters' synopsis. And WHAM! the chapter about losing your SD. I broke down and cried. Sara. June 15. But still like this afternoon for me at times. I think its great I cry! At least I know I could feel that much love for a marionette mopette that served me for 13 years.

"nough said! This is a really great book. It covers the whole spectrum of a dog doing what they do best: clown around and make us laugh, and work their hearts out for us with no reward other than feeling our pats and hearing "Good Dog!"

And it is 268 pages!!!! Only $16.95!!! What a steal!  The logo is awesome!!!! Title is awesome! Cover picture is awesome!

Thanks Katherine! That was a cool Xmas and birthday gift from you!

I can autograph but I suppose that would require mailing it to me and then me mailing it back.  (Or there could be a simpler way that I'm just not thinking of) and I am fine with doing that.

Oh, I can order extra copies of the book for just $10 instead of the amazon price and then mail them to you guys (that pay and want them of course)...autographed if you want.  Maybe that is the simpler method.  :???:

Feels kinda silly, never been asked for my autograph before lol.

Let me order at least one through you - that way you could autograph it! It would be fun having you in my book forever!

I will have to send you a money order on the 3rd, plus the cost of mailing the book out to me via snail mail. I could instead of a money order, use a bank cashier's check. Both are free for me as a Senior Citizen! My bank is US Bank.

Roxie, you don't have to pay for my transportation.  All I'm asking is that the $10.00 and shipping (can't imagine that to be more than $3.00) be covered.

So, if you want to order one through me, I'll just charge $13.00.  I'm certainly not looking to get any financial gain from this.

Right now the editor is working on the launch party and mailing out all the free copies to contributing authors (we get two).

So, I'll give it a few days to see who here wants to order the book through me and then I will place my order with the editor.

I'd also LOVE to have a copy of the book! I may not be able to read it for a while (I currently have about 8 books on my "need to read" list sitting in a pile on my bookshelf --have to wait until the semester is done.) But I would still love to have a copy to read and enjoy when I am able to read it.

I'd also be honored to have your autograph!

Oh yeah, money orders would be the best way to send me the money for ordering these books...forgot to mention that.

hmmmm, would it be too much to ask if you will post internationally?

I don't know anything about international shipping.  I know the editor has some international shipping to do because some of the contributing authors are from other countries, and so far she has only figured out how to ship to Canada.  So I'm not so sure that I can international ship.

I want one!   Let us know when you make the order.  I can send you a money order  pretty much anytime as long as I work out the  transportation part with my mom!   I do have thirteen bucks at the moment!  COol! thanks for being willing to autograph it!

On international  orders.  You   Perhaps you can have  Amazon send it as a gift to the international people and they pay you with a money order in US money.   When I lived in Canada I had to pay my  US credit cards with money orders, and payed the post office    the Canadian equivalent to  US cash and  the   money order said  USD on it and I never had trouble with them  cashing them.   I guess you could send   the books to everyone as gifts  from AMazon after they pay you  then you don't have to do the mailing.
