I remember reading that book in elementary school...and being so impressed by the story...how little did I know in the 4th grade that when I was 40 years old, it would mean even more to me.

LOL I just wrote a reflective 6pg paper for an English class on that story, how it started my love for wanting to train guide and service dogs when I was about 7.  The copy I have was my mothers when she was a kid, and I still have that copy on my book shelf.   :laugh:

Maybe I should get that book for some of the kids in my family, could be interesting for them to read.

The story does talk about the dog being distracted (teased) by another character and the main character almost lost the dog.
