FYI the AKC rally course book is outdated now - they just changed a bunch of signs this year. It's still a good book for fun and practice, but it's not all-inclusive anymore.

Yes, I have the updated signs printed out.  Considering I'll probably never compete for "real" it is fine for my purposes.  Mostly I do it with scribbled "signs" on random cardboard just for fun.

I'm skimming through old reviews as I look for DVDs. Amber - if you ever need them I have "pocket cards" in Word with the new signs. Handier than AKC as they are multiples to a page when you print.
Invisible physical and mental disabilities.
Advanced experience training obedience dogs. Very new to training service dogs.
Current Samoyeds: Rio (11), Cosmo (3), Serenity (SDiT)

I ended up hand drawing all the signs and writing the descriptions to make "flash cards" for myself.  It turned out to be really helpful because it helped me remember all the specifics of each

I came across these books recently. How did you like them? Did you find them helpful? Thanks!

If you need tips for making the Rally signs at home let me know. I have a few ideas that I've used in the past.

With the recent changes I actually bought the new AKC signs. It would have been too hard on my body to make them again. I bought them from http://www.snowypinedogtraining.com/Shopping-Cart.html

My set came with a quick reference guide on the signs. Its laminated and has all the sign descriptions. Super handy. You can buy it separately for around $22 from them.

My club saves a lot of the rally courses from various competitions and has them filed in the back. I also save all my courses from various shows. So between the quick reference guide and my courses I have a good replacement for the outdated Rally book that you noted. I bought that when AKC first introduced Rally and it was helpful then. Just dated now.
