I at one time fed this kibble to my rescues/fosters and my own personal dogs when kibble was needed. They all liked the taste okay and there were no noticable problems.   If your dog has never had lamb you might want to introduce this slower then a kibble made with a protein source that your dog is already use to.

I had originally posted this over a year ago (June 10, 2006). Since then I have gone back and now feed this to my EPI German Shepherd as 50% of his feeding. He is doing very well on this kibble combined with 50% Purina ProPlan Sensitive Skin and Stomach.

Ilghaus:
This is the other kibble that I feed my 6 year old EPI German Shepherd.

This food does not contain wheat or corn  which are two ingredients that some dogs can not handle. My dog, Karl, is one of them.

Even though this food is made for dogs with sensitive skin one of my dogs after eating this developed a horrible itch and lost large patches of hair. The reason I put this in is here we have two extremes within the same household.

Always keep in mind that just because a food comes highly recommended it may not be the best choice for your dog.

<<here we have two extremes within the same household. ...Always keep in mind that just because a food comes highly recommended it may not be the best choice for your dog.>>

Very true!  (Try feeding a sedentary dachshund, a dalmatian puppy, and an active SDiT - complete chaos, LOL!)  Thus far we have done well with just two types of feed, but I will feed whatever they need as individuals.  I have really enjoyed reading all this feed information for working dogs!  Thanks for the great thread!

Ilghaus:
Yes my household is also hectic with different items for each dog.

So while one of my boys eats 50/50 Solid Gold Hund-N-Flocken and Purina ProPlan S&S, his half brother eats Solid Gold Wolfking for breakfast and RAW for dinner. I am also buying Wolfking for our rescue/foster dogs. Even the smaller ones (about 8 to 15 lbs.) do well on this kibble.

And my third guy who can not eat many kibbles -- he scratches almost non-stop & looses his hair -- seems to be able to eat this one from time to time.
