You go girl!  Do it because it is the right and good thing, not just the easiest.  Inertia works both ways.  It may take work to get it in motion, but once in motion it is just as hard to stop it.  Your fight with inertia can motivate others to keep the ball rolling.

You may want to join us behind the scenes sometime at KsKs and toss some ideas around about Rayne's Reading Room / Ruby's Rangers.

I just came back to clarify somewhat. Rayne's Reading Room is a literacy project of Karl's Kids Program, Inc. and Ruby's Rangers is a subsection.

Now I wonder where we came up with the name Ruby?

Another symantic thing I just learned about.  Apparently, it is no longer called 'community service' unless the courts have ordered it due to criminal activity.  For the life of my, I can't remember what the politically correct term is now, but I just became informed earlier today.

The term we use here is volunteer work, since that is what it is.

And in Australia our therapy dogs are 'certified'!! But it is a totally different systam and processes to what you have in the US.

I've heard so many terms used for the equivalent of community service. MY professor calls it community service. I always called it volunteering. In high school it was called CAS (for Community, Action, Service). But volunteering may be misleading in cases where it is required - such as in school - because it's not really voluntary per se, you have to do it, you just get to pick what you do.

Anyway, I not only have my dad on board, I have my little brother on board too ^.^

Now if only Gavroche was still called Ralph, he'd fit right in with the Rs! I'd love to do that. And that also reminds me, the newsletter!  I have an article in the works, I just need to finish it up

Yes!  That is it.  Schools now require 'service learning', not 'community service.'  Basically you have to pay 50 grand to take part in 30 hrs of 'service learning' per quarter, but 'community service' is required, though free after you commit a wrongdoing.
