Nature's Recipe Dog Food
« on: August 09, 2007, 07:39:59 AM »
Anyone feed Natures Recipe?  I don't even know who makes it.  I don't see the "parent Company" on the bag.  (No "Purina" or "Eukanuba" or anything)

I switched to that this week.  Trying to see if it wil make a difference with my dogs.

After my fisaco with Chihuahua getting sick on the big dogs food. (Which, I now know may or may not have to do with with the food itself and the big dogs are now throwing up, and having diahrrea, and then the puppy had a short bout of it again too, so I suspect a stomach bug rather than food, since she has no way of accesing their food)  I just decided to switch foods as I had so much judgement on my method of feeding (which has actually worked just fine regardless.) Never mind it cost 3x the price, and I (like everyone else) am on a pretty low income right now.

Anyway, Nature's balance. Any thoughts?  It's Lamb and rice.  Alleged to reduce allergies.  I was going to go with the Venison and rice, but it was $10/bag more.  Both had chicken broth in them, which I suspect may be the culprit anyway, so it is sort of an exercise in futility, but we'll see.

Thanks.
Bryn

Natures Recipe is made by Del Monte Foods. Large "people food" corporations quite often own a pet food division where they use their extra products.

They advertise "Over time, even common ingredients like beef, corn or wheat can lead to food intolerance. So choose Nature’s Recipe® dog food. Our dog food provides balanced nutrition without beef, corn or wheat."
