Knee Cat
« on: December 10, 2006, 05:15:17 PM »
You know of lap cats right?  Well, I have a knee cat.  Whenever I sit down, and have my feet in the chair with me, my cat just HAS to get on my knees.

I guess my cat from years ago would have been a book cat. I was always reading and she always wanted to sit on the book that I had at the time. Well, except when it was time for bed then she became a pillow cat. She was my Velcro buddy around the house for many years. I had her for almost 17 years.

I understand the pillow cat, same cat always lays on my pillow at bedtime.  When I try to move it, he swats my hands  (in play) because they are running from him.

Try it with a 57 pound puppy.  Or a puppy boa (ie wrapped around your neck because she has to be "closer" to you than the other dog already sharing your lap with the fattest cat in the house).

Or a 71 pound (yes she's put on six pounds since the pups) Luna who insists on sitting on your head all night.

My Sylver used to be a shoulder cat, then, he grew up (well over 13#) and it hurt too bad to have him on my shoulders.  He still tries every now and then to get up there, so I just lean forward, he gets on my back.  I walk to the cat tree, he jumps on that, and thats it.   I didn't think of he would ever get that big, because he was SO tiny as a kitten, he was still tiny even as a teenager.  His nickname was Itty Bitty.  Then, suddenlly, he is the biggest (Not fat) cat in the house.  Now, he is Itty Bitty Big Kitty.
