In my experience, all roll-type dog food has a fairly high percentage of organ meat in it. Regardless of the type of meat, organ meat is higher in purines than muscle meat. Most roll-type dog food also has brewer's yeast, which is extremely high-purine. That being said, I will use Pet Botanics lamb and rice dog food rolls, albeit sparingly.
I generally make my own treats most of the time so that I can avoid feeding organ meat. My guys especially like fish and peanut butter treats, but they also enjoy cooked, diced muscle meat, generally beef or chicken. I've never had a problem with feeding poultry to my Dals (in fact, for a long while chicken was the main meat source in their diets), and neither of my dog's breeders have mentioned any sensitivity to poultry in their lines.
