Thank you for the warning. Its one of my biggest fears is that someone would try to take one of my pets or my kids. Its a big problem where I am located. We have already had 3 attempted child abductions in my town this summer. Thats why my kids are never allowed outside without an adult and my husbands dog- and there are only a handful of adults that I trust with my kids- and they are all family. There was one other person who I trusted them with, he was sort of a live in nanny for my youngest daughters first year of life, but he has moved on.

The same goes for Kota my dog. He is put out in a fenced in yard- 10ft high fence in most areas because my husbands dog can easily jump 6 ft. Im looking into getting roll bars for the top of the fence because he can also climb a fence easily. I have multiple windows overlooking the dog area- I keep an eye on him while he is out playing and pottying. Living in town is "new" for me. I grew up in the country and spent most my childhood on working ranches. Never having the need to fence in dogs since there were hundreds or thousands of acres to run on and most the dogs were working dogs. Living in town its like you need to have everything locked up.
