MONTGOMERY -- This is a story about an 8-year-old boy named Sam and his dog.

However, there is one big twist in the tale -- and the tail -- they don't know each other yet. Sam's parents, Montgomery residents Carol and Tom Leach, are doing all they can to get them acquainted as quickly as possible. Sam has autism and the dog the Leaches get won't be just any dog. He or she will most likely be a Labrador retriever who will come from the 4 Paws for Ability program based in Xenia, and will help Sam's life open up and get better in many ways.
