Children learn about service dogs

MENDON - Cuddly canine Reebok was the talk of the township library Thursday.

The six-month-old Reebok, who is training to become a service dog, took in plenty of love and attention from Mendon children.

"He's just a sweet and calm little boy dog," said 7-year-old Madeline Kettwich. "He's nice and very cuddly."

Reebok came to the Mendon Township Library in a program about Paws with a Cause, a Wayland, Mich.-based organization that trains assistance dogs for people with disabilities.
